Old-school charm – the maxim of the connoisseur hotel Altes Gymnasium in Husum. The former school in the Theodor Storm town awaits you with a unique atmosphere. With this in mind, the 53 rooms and suites, 30 of which are in the garden house built in 1954, have been furnished in a decidedly individual and cosy manner:

Italian furniture as well as fabrics and carpets from England determine the picture. Warm colours and tastefully arranged interiors create an ambience that is second to none – an atmosphere that is both fascinating and relaxing.

Whether you are a conference guest or a holiday guest, you will enjoy the end of an eventful day and a restful night in the place where Husum’s students once pored over Pythagoras’ theorem or Rilke’s verses.

About half of the rooms are located in the historic school building from 1867, the other half in the annex building “Gartenhaus”. In addition to these standards, extra-long beds (2.10 m) are also available.

The elegant bathrooms of the hotel rooms are special gems – here, too, you will feel extremely comfortable. In addition to generously sized bathtubs and showers, they have elegant corner washbasins with large mirrors. A hairdryer, bathrobe and sauna towel are also available. Of course, we also offer handicapped accessible rooms.
